Living in today but learning from what's behind me

It was suggested to me to read the book of James, I read it and thought...I'm not like that! So I read it again...I am like that we all are, we all wag our tongues wrong, at ourselves about others. I am one that needs to spend some time in my heart in conversation with others, so I don't boast or denigrate others. It's a habit developed from living toward worldly goals and a neglected childhood. If I didn't pat myself on the back no one would and having gone to so many schools growing up, I always felt the need to "Prove myself" "Rank in the pecking order" when I chose a career I went into a field that required diligent study of new technology, so I could place myself (above others with less knowledge) all worldy thoughts and ambitions. Habits that are hard to break as I learn to be an obediant Christian and serve others befor myself. I'm 2 step's forward one back right now but I'm heading in the right direction finally, I'm sure that the skills I've learned and my tenasiose nature can serve God better than they served my own ideas. I am able to be still now, I am dedicated to staying in the word and around like minded people daily so I have solid defences against attack, I am attacked daily...so I must be on the right track. From the frequency and intensity of attack I must be making my way to taking souls from the enemy and bringing them to Christ, this excites me to no end. I spent the first half of my life grinding on life for my own wants and needs, as the transformation takes place I will continue to battle on to win souls for Christ as we near the end of days, as the earth groan's, as war consumes every continent, as we communicate in a common language (HTML). While they rebuild the temple we anxiously wait for the promise of love and peace that Christ freely offers us for the taking...by our own faith.
So as I battle protected by my spiritual armor to serve and save the least of us, I keep my eyes on the path, the journey I am on has no end and the promise of salvation and righteousness is perfect, so perfect it is beyond my comprehension.
God Bless and Save us

Grasping the opportunity to be intimate with GOD

I've begun to structure my time to allow for communion with God, begging for his presence in my life and then saying the lords prayer as instructed in the word, then I pray for work necessary to provide my daily needs, then prayer midday for opportunities to serve( this schedule is subject to change) After praying for service I start to look for answers, they show up almost immediately. Study is flexible I find it easier to study when time permits mornings and evenings when I not moving seem to work best but I take my material with me where ever I go in case I get a chance to get into the word, my spiritual sword of protection, I need it, it seems I come under attack daily. Small things....interruptions while on task, obstacles (usually people causing problems) or full on visitations like the floor creaking like someone is walking across the floor when I'm the only one there(Yea it scared me but I bound and rebuked in the name of Christ 2wice :) )
In the evenings I look for need to repent, small or large and usually find it's needed, mostly thoughts and feeling not of God about people I run into thru the day, I come out of an environment that was hostile and hard to find joy anywhere, so now my prayer list is:
For deliverance from the old
I beg to be reunited with my son
I ask for guidance as I move myself and my list of priorities out of the way and put God first in everything
I am also praying that I be useful to God as he See's fit
This Blog my letter to God and the journal of my walk in the path and the way to the light of "The Morning Star"
Praise God I get to win souls for Christ
